Lakers and Odom can't reach a deal

Last night or earlier this morning (I just heard about this morning but I think it happend last night) the Lakers withdrew their contract offer from Lamar Odom because he took too long to respond to them. He wanted something like 5yrs 50million but they wanted to give him 30 million for 3yrs or 35 or 36 million for 4yrs. I think it'll interesting to see how this turns out, because I don't see Odom getting the kind of money he wants but they can't repeat without him. Despite scooping up Ron Artest Odom was their glue guy and every championship team has a glue guy (06 Heat/08 Celtics- James Posey, all the Spurs teams- the whole supporting cast, 00-02 Lakers Rick Fox/D-Fish,etc, etc). Odom is a 6'10 small who can score off the dribble, get to the basket, shoot threes, he can pass, rebound, and defend all five position.

Can the lakers afford to lose a guy who does all that we'll see.
